Widespread Supply Shortages & Price Hikes Seen For NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 GPUs Including RTX 4060 Ti

NVIDIA's RTX 40 series GPUs, specifically the RTX 4060 Ti, are facing significant supply challenges, which is driving up prices as a result. Chinese industry sources point to strong demand for mid-range GPUs, particularly the RTX 4060 Ti, amid supply chain constraints. This situation can lead to an overall price increase of around 10%.

The reason for this situation is clear. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has become highly sought after as an entry-level GPU for gamers, especially in China, which has led to an increase in demand. However, reports suggest that supply has been deliberately limited to conservative levels, with AIB deliveries reportedly as low as 50 units. This disparity has led to price increases, and as a result, prices are expected to rise significantly in the market, especially in mainland China.

Companies like MSI and ASUS have started gradually increasing prices since last month in response to demand and supply dynamics. If you're considering a mid-range NVIDIA GPU, now might not be the best time to shop.

This development does not necessarily indicate a similar impact on global markets. Instead, prices in regions such as the US and Europe are experiencing a diverse decline, with most GPU models priced below regional MSRPs. The situation is particularly challenging in China, where the market is affected by US sanctions, leading to expected shortages reflecting market sentiment.
