'SNL' Weekend Update brought on Caitlin Clark to call out Michael Che's sexist jokes

NCAA women's basketball phenom Caitlin Clark has three points. SNL Weekend Update host Michael Che: “Be funny. Dumbass.”

Even those who don't watch women's college basketball know who Caitlin Clark is and how she has elevated the game. That's why when Che joked about Clark trading in his retired jersey number for an apron, it didn't go down so well.

That's when Clarke shows up to confront Che and dust him off like his opponents in court.

The segment began with Clarke chiding Chi for making several jokes about women's sports. When he denied it, co-anchor Colin Jost backed Clark up with a supercut of receipts. Well, Clarke decides to write some new jokes for Che, and it turns out she's pretty good at it too. Che was forced to read primarily self-deprecating jokes about giving women at Purdue “Indiana Fever,” and his comedy special on Netflix was harder to watch than Andrew Scott's new series. Ripley.

As if it couldn't get any worse for Che, Clark gets the last laugh by handing him an autographed apron. The segment ends with Clark paying tribute to her women's basketball heroes who “kicked the door down, so (Clark) could walk in.”
