Radeon RX 7900 XTX “Phoenix Nirvana” Graphics Card Teased By XFX

XFX chain is preparing to release a fresh graphics card called “Phoenix Nirvana”. This upcoming model is yet to be unveiled but is expected to hit the market soon. The company has launched a pre-order page, offering early access to a limited number of gamers with an additional discount. Although the product has not been fully revealed, it may not be appropriate to participate in the pre-order.

Only a handful of renders are accessible, none of which offer a comprehensive view of the card, but we can make reasonable guesses. First, it features a triple fan cooling system and measures 34.6 cm in length, indicating its considerable size. The card measures 13.2 cm wide and is 6.8 cm tall, suggesting a 3.5 slot design.

It is equipped with three 8-pin power connectors and requires an 850W power supply for operation. Underneath, there is a large heatsink with eight 6 mm heat pipes and a wide spreading area measuring 10,603,980 mm 2 (216 fins). As such, the cooler is particularly large and includes a substantial base plate, possibly a vapor chamber for the GPU and memory. The company even touts the inclusion of premium thermal pads with improved conductivity, a feature rarely featured in GPU marketing materials.

In terms of GPU specifications, this card will be equipped with the same clock speeds as the speedster Merc 319, with a boost clock of 2615 MHz. This clock speed, while not the highest available on the market, reveals untapped potential, especially considering the model's chunky design.

In terms of price, the card is listed at an official retail price of 7899 RMB (1,090 USD), with a 100 RMB discount available for pre-orders. This price seems much higher than the RX 7900 XTX, which retails at 7499 RMB, even less than the MERC 319.
