Woodgate Computers(WGC) are committed to keeping the trust and confidence of our customers to our website. We do not sell or trade your email address with other companies for marketing purposes. This Privacy Policy shows when & why we collect your personal data and how we use it.
Visitors to our Website
When someone visits the WGC website, we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Newsletter Sign Up
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information (name & email address). We use that information to tell you about things you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check occasionally that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer Shane Khan support@woodgatecomputers.com
Information collected
We collect your name, phone number(s), address and email for our accounts program Xero which is cloud based and password protected on our computer/phone/tablet. Xero allows us to provide an invoice by email to you on jobs carried out and find your address and job history easily if you call us out on another job. Your name and telephone numbers are stored on our password protected phone to call you if necessary, regarding a job and to recognise your name & number if you call us.
We do not collect any customer data if you use our Wi-Fi
Data Backup/Recovery
If we need to backup any data recovered from a failing / failed hard drive or backup any data before reinstalling the Windows operating system, we store your name and data (such as documents / photos / videos and music) on our external hard drive and as soon as the job is complete, we securely remove your name and data backed up from our external hard drive, NAS or server
Access to Your Personal Information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer Shane Khan support@woodgatecomputers.com
