ONDA Launches Super Affordable AMD AM5 & Ryzen 9000 CPU-Ready B650 Motherboards Under $70

ONDA has. introduced A pair of budget-focused B650 motherboards for AMD AM5 PC builders starting at under $70 US.

These AMD AM5 motherboards from ONDA feature the B650 chipset, support Ryzen 7000/8000 and Next-Gen 9000 CPUs, all priced under $70 US.

We've previously covered ONDA's Intel LGA 1700 socket lineup in mATX and Mini-ITX flavors well below the $100 US mark.. The company has a well-known history of offering very budget-oriented motherboards and it looks like the company has released its latest offering in the form of the B650M series which comes in black and white flavors.

Starting with the specifications, the ONDA B650M motherboards feature an mATX design with an AMD AM5 socket that features an 8-phase power delivery solution and a single 8-pin power connector to boot. The motherboard currently supports both AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs and Ryzen 8000G APUs, but ONDA reported on their Weibo channel that they will have a BIOS ready soon. Also support next generation Ryzen 9000 CPUs based on Zen 5 core architecture.

Coming back to the motherboard specs, the ONDA B650M AM5 motherboard has two small VRM and PCH heat sinks that should do the job just fine. For memory, the motherboard has a pair of DDR5 DIMM slots that can support capacities up to 96 GB with speeds of 6000 MT/s+ (OC) and EXPO profiles. Expansion includes one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD slot. There is also a single PCIe 4.0 x4 interface slot. There is also an M.2 WiFi slot that can be equipped with a Realtek WIFI module (purchased separately).

In terms of I/O, the ONDA B650M AM5 motherboard has four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, a single GbE LAN port, a 5.1 channel HD audio jack, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and VGA display output while the internal side I/O . Includes a USB 3.2 Gen1 header, four SATA III ports, and a 12V RGB header.

So it's pretty clear that the motherboard isn't the most feature-rich design, but at $60-$70 US, it offers a great solution for budget AM5 PC builders. You get support for AMD's next-generation Ryzen CPUs and the most basic support a gamer or budget gamer will need is already there. The black variant is priced at 499 RMB while the white variant is priced at 559 RMB which is $68 and $77 US respectively. Both B650M motherboards are currently only available in China.
