MSI Unveils Its Newest GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Shadow 3X, Featuring A New Color Scheme

MSI has released a new version of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, “Shadow 3X“, featuring a brand new design and a classic color scheme.

MSI's GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Shadow 3X GPU features a minimalist design with a unique bronze and gray color scheme.

MSI has introduced a new lineup of GPUs under the “Shadow 3X” series, with the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Shadow 3X OC hitting the shelves first. As the name suggests, the GPU has a new color scheme, a triple-fan design, and no explicit RGB, making it perfect for those with minimal Prefer constructions. The design is very similar to the Ventus 3X cards but with a more stealthier approach.

Before we dive into the details, let's see what the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER GPU is equipped with. The GPU includes a choice of AD103-275 / AD102-175 GPU SKUs (PG141 SKU 323) with both variants featuring 8,448 cores and 48 MB of L2 cache. The graphics card comes with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, a 4 GB VRAM upgrade versus the RTX 4070 Ti Non-SUPER, and supports a 256-bit bus interface. The graphics card maintains a 285-watt TGP, same as the non-Super variant.

Now, the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Shadow 3X is an overclocked version of the original GPU. So, it comes with a bumped clock speed, 2655 MHz in “Extreme Performance” and a boost frequency of 2640 MHz. So, performance-wise, MSI's SHADOW 3X should be slightly better than the reference variant. Also, with the triple fan design, the company aims to provide good cooling performance through its onboard TORX 4.0 fans.

Elaborating a bit on the color scheme, the GPU's shroud features a “military-type” color with a gray and bronze design. For those looking for simplicity, the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Shadow 3X is a great option to look for. MSI hasn't revealed the pricing of its new model yet, so we can't say for sure. However, we expect it to fall somewhere around the GPU's official MSRP, $799.
