MSI QD-OLED Gaming Monitors Receive New Firmware Update, DSC Switch Added Among Various Fixes

MSI has Rolled out the latest firmware update. For it QD-OLED gaming monitor It includes many new features, fixes and improvements.

MSI has added a range of new features, improvements and fixes for its QD-OLED gaming monitors in the latest firmware update.

The addition of a DSC switch in the OSD allows users to turn off the feature to enable DLDSR and DSR modes via the NVIDIA Control Panel, while the HDMI PC/console option now allows users to choose their preferred mode instead of being limited to 4K mode. Lets you choose the resolution. Another interesting feature is the ability to switch between 24.5″ and 27″ options in the OSD which works with HDR but not VRR.

FW.010 firmware update information

  • Added DSC switch to OSD to enable DLDSR and DSR modes.
  • MPG 271QRX QD-OLED: Added HDMI PC/Console switch to OSD. (MPG 271QRX QD-OLED default setting is “Console” mode.)
  • Support for different aspect ratios, the MPG 321URX QD-OLED allows a choice between a 24.5″ and a 27″ option, the MPG 271QRX QD-OLED allows a 24.5″.
  • Fixed color gamut clamping when HDR is enabled. HDR mode will now save separate current mode settings.
  • Fixed several language issues.
  • Image flicker problem is solved when VRR is enabled.
  • Added “Power LED” switch to OSD so users can turn it off.
  • Input lag and delay correction.
  • Fixed issue with white line during 2560×1440@360Hz. (MPG 271QRX QD-OLED only).
  • Fixed abnormality (black screen) displayed after switching VRR.
  • Improve panel protection behavior during full protection depending on operating power status.
