Intel Lunar Lake “Core Ultra 200V” CPU Spotted In Next-Gen HP Spectre x360 Laptop, Strong Battlemage “Xe2” Arc iGPU Performance
Coming from Intel Lunar Lake “Core Ultra 200V” CPU Seen in an HP Specter x360 laptop, the Battlemage Arc has strong iGPU performance.
Equipping the HP Next-Gen Specter X360 2-in-1 laptop with Intel's Lunar Lake “Core Ultra 200V” CPU, the cut-down Arc Battlemage iGPU delivers strong performance.
Intel will introduce its Lunar Lake CPUs under the Core Ultra 200V family later this year. The new family will target thin and light laptops and it looks like it. A new version has been spotted. In the form of HP's Specter x360 2-in-1 Which has Lunar Lake-M SKU with LPDDR5 memory. It comes with 32 GB of on-package memory and the chip is rated at 17W TDP.
While the specifications of the Intel Lunar Lake “Core Ultra 200V” CPU haven't been properly revealed, we do get to see another preview of the Arch Battle Mage “Xe2-LPG” iGPU, which features its Arch Alchemist “Xe- “offers a greater performance than LPG” iGPU predecessor. The iGPU has 56 execution units so it can be concluded that it is a slightly cut-down variant with 7 Xe-cores along with the 8 Xe-core variant we have seen before. The iGPU has a clock speed of up to 1.85 GHz and comes with 8 MB of L2 cache.
Coming to the performance breakdown, the Intel Arc Battlemage “Xe2-LPG” iGPU on the Lunar Lake “Core Ultra 200V” CPU delivers a massive 2x performance boost despite being a cut-down variant. Intel Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake iGPUs SiSoftware Sandra scores around 1000 points in GPGPU test while The Lunar Lake ES chip scores over 2100 points.. That's a huge advantage within a single generation and if it translates to discrete GPUs as well, we're bound to see some big improvements.
Following are some of the features of Lunar Lake CPUs:
- Designed for thin and light notebooks.
- Lion Cove P-Cores and Skymont LPE-Cores
- Battlemage “Xe2-LPG” GPU architecture
- Up to 8 Xe2 GPU cores
- 4+4 Basic Configurations (MX-Series)
- Up to 64 execution units
- On-package 32 GB LPDDR5x memory
- Up to 3x faster NPU performance than Meteor Lake
- 17-30W TDP
- Late 2024 launch, 2025 Vol
Earlier, an Intel Lunar Lake “Core Ultra 200V” CPU was discovered. Galaxy Book 5 Ultra Leaked Which means OEMs already have access to early prototypes of the chip and that's good news because we can expect these chips on the shelves in time! According to previous leaks, Intel Lunar Lake CPUs will offer 8 cores in 4 P-Core (Lion Cove) and 4 LP-E cores (Crestmont) configurations with Battlemage “Arc Xe2-LPG” iGPUs in 8 Xe-Core configurations. , with 32 GB on-package LPDDR5x memory and TDPs up to 17-30W. Again, the launch is expected later this year. Wider availability is planned for the first half of 2025..
