Intel Is Investigating 13th/14th Core “Raptor Lake” Gaming Instability Issue
ZDNET Korea reported that Intel is currently looking into the gaming instability issue noted in games such as Tekken 8. While gamers around the world have reported similar issues, there is no conclusive evidence or official statement from Intel linking the issue directly to Intel CPUs. Nevertheless, Intel's investigation suggests the validity of these claims.
In South Korea, the problem came with the launch of Tekken 8. The game suddenly encounters an 'invalid video memory' error, which results in the game shutting down suddenly. These reports are specific to Intel's 13th and 14th Gen Core CPUs, prompting an investigation. The issue of instability has gained attention recently, as highlighted by South Korean QuazarZone editor Harukze5719.
Add a comment. Unlike overseas, this has recently emerged as a major issue in Korea. So nowadays more people say “my cpu has the same problem”.
And the pic post says the problem occurred, but only from one forum. There may be more hidden cases. https://t.co/bVaAs5HO0C pic.twitter.com/QmDdbDSdKf

Since late February, a number of users on various platforms have reported these issues. Korean YouTubers have recently featured videos that confirm the existence of this problem. Now, ten people a day are returning to stores, looking for replacement CPUs because of these issues, the publication found.
Game stability issues have already been noted in titles running on the Unreal Engine, including The Finals, Battlefield 2042, Remnant 2, Lords of the Fallen, Hogwarts Legacy, Forworld, Horizon, Overwatch 2, and include lies of p.
So I was randomly checking user reviews of Intel i9-14900K/KF CPUs and wow it seems like a lot of people have either received bad chips, or their chips are getting dangerously low. . It's not really good… pic.twitter.com/RJ0hSu3nA9

As reported. Wccftech, a recent review of the Core i9-14900KS Special Edition 6.2 GHz processor, using the Raptor Lake Refresh architecture, unveiled comparable issues. Analysis revealed that CPUs, particularly those within the Core i9 series, are pushing the limits too aggressively, with tightly set clocks and voltages, potentially causing system instability. And the game crashes as a result.
Intel has not yet confirmed the issue or issued a public statement. However, it has been found that manual downclocking and undervolting can restore stability in games. Nevertheless, this approach involves “overclocking” and may technically void the warranty.
