Got An Old D-Link NAS Device? Dump It Just Like D-Link Has! – PC Perspective

The DNS-340L, DNS-320L, DNS-327L, and DNS-325 all need to go.

There are four D-Link NAS models, all of which have reached end-of-service, that will almost certainly disconnect immediately if you connect them to anything. All four have a backdoor with a 9.8 severity rating and no accuracy. D-Link stands by its recommendation to replace the devices with newer models, as they have no plans to reverse their decision to no longer support EoS devices.

There is no possibility of this error that you can fix yourself, it is a hard coded username with no password and this username is popular all over the net. The user of these four models has enough permissions to trigger remote code execution, which will cause all sorts of nightmares for those who have data stored on the device.

It's up to you if you replace them with another D-Link device, or if you want to do a little shopping!
