ASUS Rolls Out AMD AGESA 1.1.8.0 BIOS Firmware For X670E Motherboards

ASUS has started rolling out the latest AMD. AGESA 1.1.8.0 BIOS Firmware For its high-end X670E series of motherboards.

ASUS AGESA 1.1.8.0 BIOS firmware brings improved AMD Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” desktop CPU support to X670E motherboards.

ASUS previously rolled out AMD AGESA 1.1.7.0 BETA BIOS for its AM5 motherboards including all X670E, X670, B650E, B650, and A620 products. Now, ASUS has started rolling out the latest AGESA 1.1.8.0 firmware for its high-end X670E motherboards in the ROG Crosshair, ROG Strix and ProArt series.

Now it is uncertain if anything has changed significantly in the new BIOS update but it looks like we can expect better support for the next generation. AMD Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” desktop CPUs have already been confirmed by the motherboard manufacturer.. Below is a complete list of motherboards that have received the update along with their respective BIOS download links.

The next generation of AMD Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” desktop CPUs expected to be introduced at Computex 2024 next month And it looks like we'll see a lot of new AM5 action during the event, along with the release of a new BIOS firmware, most likely AGESA 1.2.0.0 which could be the official release version for the Zen 5 chips.
