ASUS Reportedly Readies 14 ROG, TUF, ProArt Laptops Featuring Next-Gen AMD Ryzen “Strix Point” APUs

ASUS is reportedly producing a total of 14 next-gen ROG, TUF and ProArt laptops equipped with AMD. Next-generation Ryzen “Strix Point” APUs based on Zen 5.

ASUS' Next-Gen Laptop Lineup Comes Out With AMD Ryzen “Strix Point” APUs, Equipped with NVIDIA RTX 40 GPUs

ASUS is developing an extensive lineup of laptops that will use AMD's next-generation Ryzen “Strix Point” APUs. The models are said to have leaked inside. Product page of the 240 and 180W ROG Compact Plug Adapters which lists the new types.

According to IT Home, “W” models represent next-generation variants featuring AMD's Ryzen “Strix Point” APUs while “U” variants represent AMD Ryzen “Hawk Point” 8040 APUs. Following is the full list of laptops coming out.

While the exact configurations of these laptops are still a mystery when it comes to APU specifications, we know from previous information that AMD's Strix Point APUs will be branded under the Ryzen 9000 series and the next-gen Zen 5 A hybrid design will be offered at the base. and Zen 5C core architecture. The first round-up of chips will be monolithic designs based on the 4nm node, including the latest RDNA 3+ iGPU core with 16 compute units and XDNA 2 NPU with support for LPDDR5X memory and 50 total AI tops.

These chips will be supported on FP8 platforms and are expected to launch in the second half of 2024. AMD is expected to provide more details at Computex 2024, which is less than a month away..
