ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phantom Gaming Discounted To $889

In late March, Powercolor dropped the cost of its RX 7900 XTX Hellhound GPU, bringing the XTX version below $890 for the first time. However, as soon as April began, this exemption disappeared. However, ASRock is now introducing a price cut for its Phantom Gaming model.

Even though ASRock's high-end SKUs like the Taichi, Taichi White, and Aqua don't have the high-performance Aqua models, the Phantom Gaming model still offers impressive performance. With an overclock speed of 2615 MHz (+115 MHz) and a robust triple-slot, triple-fan cooling configuration, this version packs a punch.

As the RX 7900 XTX drops below $890 for the second time, it looks like this could become a recurring pattern. With 7900XT models now often priced at $699, AMD's highest-end offerings are showing increased power. This increase can be attributed to the debut of the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series and the introduction of more competitive models in comparable price segments.

Currently, the RX 7900 XTX is available for $110 less than its direct competitor, the RTX 4080 SUPER. No major GPU releases from AMD or NVIDIA are expected before the launch of the next generation GPUs. The only remaining aspect of competition is pricing.
