AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX & RX 7900 XT GPUs Drop To £829 & £629 in UK
AMD's high-end RDNA 3 graphics cards are now the most affordable in the UK, with the Radeon RX 7900 XTX priced at £829 and the 7900 XT priced at £629. These GPUs have been subject to significant price drops over the past year, but this latest drop marks a new low since their initial launch.
UK retailer Ebuyer has significantly reduced the price of AMD's flagship RDNA 3 SKU, from €779.99 to €629.99, representing a reduction of around 19.2%. Compared to the initial launch MSRP of €1049, this discount amounts to around 40%, a significant reduction especially given the current GPU market conditions in the UK. Additionally, Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPUs are now priced at around 800 GBP, which represents a significant reduction of around 11%.
This price drop is the most significant we've seen in the EU, and possibly globally, as the last notable discount was seen in the US with the Radeon RX 7900 XT selling for around $699. With the XFXs MERC 310 model getting a discount, it's truly remarkable to see a GPU retailing at this price. This variant not only offers impressive performance but also features excellent cooling capabilities to handle the considerable power draw of the onboard chip.
UK customers now have the chance to embrace the RDNA 3 miracle. When compared to NVIDIA's closest competitor, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, the discounted Radeon RX 7900 XT outshines its rival, excelling in its price-to-performance ratio. This potential advantage positions AMD to lead the segment, especially if price reductions remain consistent across all AIB partners.
The prevailing sentiment in the GPU markets is undoubtedly bearish. Both the EU and US markets have seen massive price cuts, affecting both NVIDIA and AMD's SKUs. While we expect more price cuts in the future, they may not be as drastic as the current AMD deal, which is expected to sell out quickly as consumer interest grows.
