Alleged Intel Arrow Lake Desktop CPU Performance Leaks Out, 20% Faster Single-Thread Versus 14900KS
An alleged Intel Arrow Lake Desktop CPU performance benchmark has been leaked that shows a 20% faster single-thread uplift compared to the 14900KS.
Intel's Arrow Lake desktop CPUs could be a game-changer if these benchmarks are to be believed, with a 20% single-core uplift over the 14900KS.
The benchmark was posted by a forum member. Teba Bedu who shared an alleged screenshot of a CPU-z benchmark running an unknown chip. According to the user, the image comes from a different group and is purportedly an Intel Arrow Lake Desktop CPU running on a next-generation Z890 motherboard as only LGA 1851 platforms support these chips.
Now while no information like CPU SKU, core count, or clock speed is provided, the score itself can give us an idea of what chip we're looking at. In single thread, the alleged Intel Arrow Lake Desktop CPU scored 1143.2 points and in multi thread, the score is 12,922.4 points.
In terms of single-core performance, you're looking at a 20% single-core performance increase over the Intel Core i9-14900KS which is currently the fastest chip for this benchmark. The chip is clocked to 6.2 GHz and couldn't tell if the sample was running at default or overclocked speed. It looks like we might be seeing an OC result but if this is the default performance, it's quite an improvement.

As for multi-threaded performance, the CPU score looks like it will be the successor to the Core i5 so the Core Ultra 5 is about right. That's because the multi-thread score is lower than the Core i7-14700K and Core i7-13700K chips, but about 30% faster than the Core i5-14600K, and that's exactly on par with the Aero Lake CPU's reported 29.5% increase. is aligned. Outperforms the Core i5-14600K in the CPU-z multi-threaded test. Others are calling it a 6+8 SKU that will offer 6 P-Cores and 8 E-Cores.

Intel's Arrow Lake-S desktop CPUs are expected to feature a reconfigured die layout and Lion Cove will also get a 14% IPC boost (over Lunar Lake). The higher multi-threaded and single-core scores can be attributed to these higher IPC uplifts and possible clock speed increases over the previous generation. Well obviously there is no proof that this is indeed an Arrow leaked CPU, it can all be made up so take it with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, Intel's Arrow Lake desktop CPUs are targeting an October '24 launch. So stay tuned for more information, Especially during the next innovation event.
